MOOG Voyager RME CV Expander

  1. I hate that Moog always has to have some kind of wack-ass connector to fully utilize their gear. First those stupid Cynch-Jones jacks, then these stupid DCB connectors for the Voyager.

What a scam to keep you devoted to Moog gear.

  2. I have to say that's a bit of a harsh comment there. The Cinch-Jones connectors used for S-Trig were commonplace at the time those synths were manufactured, everything else on a Moog is a standard 1/4" jack, and the 25 pin DCB cable linking the Expander to the Voyager is hardly exotic.

  3. Don't pull a sheet in front of your eyes just because you love the company name. This is a profiting company like any other and they do strive to keep you devoted to their prodcts only.

It's a fact, Moog has a way of getting their customers/fans hooked and devoted to buying more of their products and upgrades. It's just the way they do buisness.

  4. First anon, are you retarded? every electronics store in the world has DCB25 connectors coming out of their ears man......its hardly exotic....you know zero about this industry so keep your mouth shut....

how the heck do you expect them to have CV expanders without a high density cable......
the only thing I can think that is LESS exotic is an IDE ribbon cable....

I can't believe you are dissing on moog either, between Moog and Synthesizers.com I can't think of any other companies that are more devoted to helping out their customers

    get a life

  5. I bought one of these accidentally from Nova Musik (the RME one) (wanted the control voltage processor, but I'm dyslexic).

So I had to buy an RME too. I picked it up this week and it's in my hotel room where I am right now, but sadly, MIDI doesn't seem to work, nor does a bit of the modulation section. Maybe loose wires. ho hum.

  6. Umm, how about not desigining the need for a CV expander in the first place? There's plenty of room to be creative with to allow extra CV ins and outs. Why put everything in one box when yo can sell the "expander" box!? Get it? You go get a life and open your eyes, moron. Moog is not devoted to you, they do not love you, they do not value you. They are devoted to getting some of your money, and then getting more of your money.

  8. anon just above this post:

I agree. They should have had lots of CV to start with.

  9. have you even looked at the back of a voyager???? it has like 20 CV plugs already ......so you basically want like 40 CVs you are telling me ?

  10. Yes! no holds barred!

I know it came out later, but take some notes from the Anyware Semtex. That's a synth done right with connectivity and cooperation in mind.

  11. The RME has no CV on it.

And the voyager needs, as you so correctly point out, like 40 :)

  12. oh and yes anonaboveme, the semtex is an excellent design. almost flawless.
