Access Virus TI Goldfilter

Remember this post? Looks like it finally went up for auction.
Details:
"Welcome,
You are bidding on the one-off, Limited Edition, Access Virus TI Polar known simply as Goldfilter, as created by Access in Germany . This synth is the only one of its kind, mint, unused and still in its original box. Obviously I had to take the pictures ( to be fair, the gold and silver didn't come out as great as I'd hoped ), so it has been removed from its plastic, if only briefly. Don't let the pictures fool you, it's a truly beautiful instrument in real life. To be completely honest with you, I also switched it on once and pressed a few keys just to grin, stupidly, but that's it. Pictures of the actual unit on sale can be found in the Goldfilter gallery, here. Specs for the multiple award-winning TI Series can be found here, on the Access website.

This unit is now for sale to avid collectors and synth buffs alike. No chancers please, this is a legitimate sale.

Timeline
This listing or bidding process will continue until June 9th ‘07 after which the highest bidder will become the owner of this one-off instrument.

Enquiries
Any enquiries regarding this sale may be made through the Goldfilter website : www.gold-filter.com"

  1. yipes!!! £135 for shipping inside england... Is that not a bit of a rip-off. Surely it'd be cheaper to put it in a taxi :)

  3. Taste is a subjective thing and I don't usually comment on it. I can look at something and see that, while not to my taste, someone else would. But that goldfilter has to be the ugliest synth ever. It looks like you'd see it at a swap meet next to the gold chain on a roll and Elvis blankets.

Access stuff always looks great, which in comparison only makes the goldfilter that much more hideous. Maybe that's the real reason they made only one, it was too ugly to do another.

  4. Isn't Goldfilter the name of a James Bond movie?
I think it's the one about the astronaut who's ultra religious and... oops... no, that would be MoonQuaker.

  5. No wonder its got no bids, gaudy and tasteless...
