When are those Cwejman racks going on sale?
ReplyDeletei think its awesome that people that spend so much ridiculous money on these beautiful devices just to go to some boring convention and show them off, then they go home and make pointless measurements or recreate famous stupid patches or something, but the people that actually release music, good or otherwise, for the most part just use cheap tasteless crap. sure its changing and people catching on that great machines = great sounds and more possibilities, but most of these incredible machines are just sitting in someone "project studio" wasting away. like the wonderful diy modular in an earlier post that almost got tossed out.
ReplyDeletecrazy

ReplyDeleteAs opposed to people who collect yachts and automobiles? ;)
Think of it this way. All of these people are helping support the market for these instruments. Without them, there would be 0 possibility of ANYONE making any music with such devices simply because no one would have any incentive to build them.
What are the little rack we can see at 4.44 ?

ReplyDeletePlease share with us examples of the awesome genius that is your music.
Lo, we shall be humbled before you, and inspired to give our music machines to you, as we are unworthy.
amen
How is it so quiet?
ReplyDeleteAll my synth meetings turn into deafening walls of synthsound....
That was quite possibly the worst camera work I have witnessed. I almost got motion-sick watching it. I'm surprised that the guy didn't trip over anything running around the place filming irradically like that. Nice equipment, to bad I couldn't see any of it for longer than half a second.
ReplyDeleteyour missing the point kids. i don't care if they make good music or not but do something other then show it off at a convention. generally people buy music hardware to MAKE music right?
ReplyDeleteand not a closed minded little idiot talking shit about other peoples art. i know there are people that find things fascinating that i don't. i just don't see ANY ???????
CREATE - instead of showing off how much money you spent
I think the point is for people to get together and talk about synths and to try stuff they might not otherwise. It's not a concert folks.
ReplyDeletedoes conventions excist with good an 'real' big modulars.
ReplyDeleteI always see,'those that would like to be' with stuff like doepfer ,cwejman,.com,etc.. and stacking empty cases at top of there 'big modular' so they look big,haha..
its funny
