To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.

sweeeeet!!!!!!!
I'm with Tuesday. That's a Voyager, or a Minimoog Voyager, but it most certainly is not a Minimoog. And don't bring the opinions of the deceased into it. I'm sure George Lucas has a thousand arguments why the new Star Wars movies are better as well.
ReplyDeleteReed:
ReplyDeleteNo, it IS a Minimoog, just not a model D. Moog music's website lists it as "Minimoog Voyager". You yourself called it a Minimoog. It's a minimoog.
Curses. Trumped by logic again.
ReplyDeleteYou know, they had this contest to name it before it came out. I guess the prize was supposed to be one of them. You couldn't use "Moog" in the name probably because the legal issues still wrapping up. Anyway so I sent in "Voyager" to the contest But I didn't even win a bumper sticker.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand now you can't blame me if you don't like it or the name, though it is a quite good synth and I waited years to get one second hand since I wasn't about to pay for one full price after sort of naming it in a contest where it was the prize.
Then again if you call it simply a "Minimoog" then you just confuse people as to what you are talking about
should have put a pic of a cat in there next to it and everyone would have just said, awwww, thats cute, and cared less what you titled it.
