I always wanted one of these two until I actually heard one.
The 16-step sequencer seemed so promising, but you can't get it to do abrupt jumps - it always "slides" between values. And the filter resonance is first-generation Roland COSM, which sounds whistly but not fat.
There's some stuff on it that's really bad, some that's good. I liked the 6 step sequencer a lot, I never needed to do jumps though. The delay was by far the most interesting thing, it's really heavy with thick LFO modulation-like artifacts when you change the delay time. The major setback to the box is the size, for what it did, it should be about half as big.

Anyone I've known who had one insisted it was crap.
ReplyDeleteI love mine .. the filters are sharp and it adds a nice feel to my live setup. It did help that I got the thing for 50$ also.
