acidlab bassline 2

flickr by pac209.

Hmm... kind of makes me want the sequencer controls above the knobs.

I love the green LEDs.

  1. Aside from the big gap between the knobs and the control surface on the top row of knobs, and the big screw heads in the panel, it's a very nice-looking synth. I like it better than the original Acidlab Bassline.

  2. They should have built it at a 90 degree angle.

No one will be able to play it in this orientation, with the buttons on the left and the knobs on the right.

  3. It's kind of fug from th side but then again the tb-303 had the same plastic, buttons, and ic chip brands as a tv+remote my parents bought in the early 80s.The tv ended up taking residence in my room and i had to breathe life back into the junky remote many times. Later a dj i used to hang out with taught me about acid and roland. When i first saw a 303 i was like "NO!"

  4. Not to nitpick...

If you click on the photo you will see that it is a profile shot - the machine is set up pretty much the same way as any other Bassline.

And - a 90 degree angle would make it perpendicular to the table. I'm not so sure I'd want to play it that way.

Just an observation man... just an observation.

  5. dimensions are 170 mm x 255mm x 45mm with the knobs 15mm high above the box
size wise close to a 303 (smaller than a x0xb0x), plus this is solid built (metal casing) and not a DIY project
