"Dr. Device is two (two! two!) hi-octane analog-style effects in one. First in the chain is a multi-mode filter, featuring our own private reserve 4-pole lowpass, along with 5 other tasty musical modes. Then, your audio takes a trip through our true-stereo analog delay. Couple these effects with a two-node XYZ pad, motion recording, and kinetics (you have to see it to believe it) and you've got an effect well-suited for both live performance and studio tweaking.
Dr. Device is available as a VST effect for Windows, and as an AudioUnit/VST effect bundle for OSX Universal Binary. Note that you must have OSX 10.3.9 or greater to use the Macintosh version of this plugin."
Title link takes you there. You'll find samples and more.
I wish people would quit using the word Analog in reference to software applications. It's always disappointing.
ReplyDeleteagreed. "true stereo analog delay" in a VST?
ReplyDeleteI also agree.
ReplyDeleteIf it is modeled, just say it's modeled, and ideally the type of modeling. 'Analog-like', also works, or with 'analog qualities'.
But most important, it should be 'made with love' (and smell like cookies).
well it is from their private reserve... nice to know that it's not some generic lowpass that any joe can walk in off the street and buy
ReplyDeleteAwesome plug-in. Well worth the price.
ReplyDeleteWith all the good free stuff out there I can't believe ppl are still buying plugins.
ReplyDeleteI think the days of paying for non physical products are numbered, I also often find the free stuff much better and more stable, eg Open Office, Foxit Reader, Firefox, Audacity etc etc.
My point is how many people will be using this in 5 years time?
i like the "ender's game" reference.
ReplyDeleteHey I bought it, nice stuff, I also bought AD's Replicant last January and I use it all the time even if it is hard to figure out ....as for that previous anon about "I can't believe" , well I find the "open sores" movement a nice place to shop, but if some folks are doing good work, support the artist, they need to eat and a place to sleep too,
