looks to me as though the round thing has pots on it. those pots would control midi parameters. cool looking stuff...
ReplyDeleteI love this boutique stuff.
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a boutique synth museum near where I lived, with lots of rooms full of odd things like this Sequenox thing for people to twiddle with as they're wandering around trying not to spill their Sauvignon Blanc all over everything.
The din in that place would be astounding.
OK, now I know what to invest in when I win the lottery. This is my dream.
Until tomorrow, when my dream is something else. Like a rehabilitation center for stewardesses.
DAMN YOU BOOZE
I seen one drop down around the new year in Time Square.

Can I sue if I get hurt myself on this? My fingers are hurting just looking at it. And now my butt is hurting thinking if I accidently sat on it while it lay silently in my chair.
ReplyDeleteThis is obviously just a custom MIDIbox. See his page. He also has a MIDIBOX Seq.
ReplyDeleteThose knobs remind me of recent tfpro (T. Fletcher) mastering outboard gear, which is not a good thing. Yes you can hurt your fingers accidentally on these.
ReplyDeleteJust updated the post with the Sequenox 5000. Don't ask me how I missed it (forgot to scroll?).
ReplyDeletethis is actually a medieval torture device. Midieval mace hahaaalke;jr4 9;,..

I like saw this X-Ray where someone had put something up their bum that sorta looked like that. It wasn't the typical light-bulb or hamster. The X-Ray technician, obviously a synthesist, had noted it had MIDI.
ReplyDeleteyes, it's a midibox sequencer,
ReplyDeletesee for yourself:

Yup. Absolutely ... both projects are MIDIboxes. Matrix, you should tag the article with "midibox".
ReplyDeleteThe spherical controller was a featured "midibox of the week" in www.midibox.org/forum.
Done, thanks.
