the sy77 is one of my all-time favorite synths.
ReplyDeleteYup. I have to agree with you there. The way FM responds to velocity is by far the most natural and expressive synthesis method I've heard. I still love my TG77 and TX802 (both with upgraded op amps.)
ReplyDeleteThe guy in the video is a good jazz player, but it seems like he's compiled a "best of DX7" set of patches instead of "best of SY/TG", some of which are far more interesting than his DX ballad tired crap.
The SY is capable of a lot more.
