$50 goes to the first guy that can actually tell the buchla from the massive wall of background noise!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteits that tone at exactly 1:20, sounds like a sawtooth and a guy saying mabalhabla
ReplyDeletethe background reminds me of a hyperactive arcade
ReplyDeleteThis meeting was pretty loud. I didn't think that competing in the volume arms race was a good idea. Even using headphones it was hard to hear what was going on.
ReplyDeleteAn actual banjo would have cut right through the crowd sound.
ReplyDeleteI just might have to make a banjo shaped MIDI controller, for next time.

ReplyDeleteOk, I think officially beat the banjo. Too funny.
mabalhabla. : )
obviously he doesn't have the "remove crowd noise" module. it sure is a pretty synth though.
ReplyDeleteThe noise at the show was was great. I got the hear everything I wanted to just fine.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that was sometimes too loud was the Prophet 08 being played through those huge 12" speakers. Everyboy else had tiny monitors.
It was a fun and lively gathering. I can't wait for the next one.
I was surprised to see your setup in the pics.
ReplyDeleteI take you drove or live close by.
Both, actually.
