ReplyDeletei'm not sure what was used to record all of the samples i've heard so far but why is all of the high end chopped off?

ReplyDeleteThat'd be the worst mp3 encoder of all time then. Play them through a spectrum analyzer, there's almost nothing about 750hz. Kind of strange to be honest.
ReplyDeletePardon, one the first two samples there's nothing about 750hz. The next few though, still peak at about 1.5khz, maybe a little higher (2khz) at times. MP3 doesn't really account for that though. It's like the whole thing is constantly running through a LP filter set to about 2.5 khz or so.
