Bruce Forat Interview?

I might be able to conduct a Bruce Forat interview. If you have any questions you always wanted to ask him, feel free to leave them in the comments. If you don't know who Bruce Forat is, check out these previous posts.

The following are some starter questions I am thinking of asking. I am always fascinated by the history of things in the synth world along with giving people somewhat of an open format to share things they want to share.

1. Can you give us some history about how Forat came to be?
2. What was your main motivation behind what you did with Linn? (if this is answered with 1, then chuck it of course.)
3. How closely have you been watching the synth market and what are you thoughts?
4. Can you tell us a bit about your customizations of the mpc4000?

9 comments:

  1. Why is it we never see any decent paint jobs in custom gear except for Forat?

What are your thoughts on circuit bending?

  2. Have you considered developing your own hardware/software products?

What are your thoughts on why the Linn/MPC sequencers were so successful?

  3. What was your favorite Linn machine and why?

  4. Is he related to Borat?

Can he do me a Forat Borat paint job?

  5. Any good reasons why someone should spend the money to get a Linn 9000 up to date vs. an MPC-60 vs. just buying one of the new MPC's?

  6. What about an LM-1 reproduction? I'd love to have one of those!

  7. Thanks guys, these are all good. Well, most of them. :)

  8. Don't discount the Borat Forat! It would be a top-seller in the elite circles I run in.

  9. My RS needs a new paint job because I've used the shit of it, would he do it for free and supply me with a temporary replacement until he is done? I don't want it too blingy either.

Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.
