I LOVE Blancmange. Such great sounds, such a quirky sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link and for reminding me about them.
What's that that Stephen Luscombe is twiddling with at the back of his JP-8 and what's the other device he has resting on there ? Is it entirely live or is there backing tape involved. Would be very interested to know.
ReplyDeleteThey never hidden the fact that their live sessions involved a lot of backing tapes.
ReplyDeleteI can confirm that since my uncle saw them live. Anyway, their kind of clap sound always drive us crazy, I would be curious to learn were does it come from.
Is the clap sound you refer to from the synth or a drum machine? I would like to know the original sound source of their rythms, particularly the claps. Love it!
