To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved, usually same day. Do not insult people. For items for sale, do not ask if it is still available. Check the auction link and search for the item. Auctions are from various sellers and expire over time. Posts remain for the pics and historical purposes. This site is meant to be a daily snapshot of some of what was out there in the world of synths.

wow it's not often you see a keyboard monitor that's bigger than a grown man (2nd pic) :J
ReplyDeletewell what I'd like now is to hear a few samples of this monster
ReplyDeleteMy oh my, that first pic is droolworthy.
ReplyDeleteHere's a less whorish picture. The pic of the lit panel makes an awesome desktop pattern & turns my Macbook into a BrioBook...!

Eh, it's no MacLeyvier (which you can hear on Laurie Spiegel's "Obsolete Systems" CD).
ReplyDeleteBut those diamond-shaped buttons sure are classy. Probably the most Vegas-y synth ever made. The silver & gold anniversary edition DX7 is a close runner-up.
...but it doesnt have a d-beam!
ReplyDeleteSo, when do we get a softsynth version?
ReplyDeleteI can see it now - the Packrat doing a comparison test in his living room, with these monsters:
ReplyDeleteCon Brio 200
Fairlight CMI
NED Synclavier
Kinetic Prism
Some videos of it doing a lightshow pattern uploaded to youtube here.
