  1. lotta hard looks going on in that video. The combination of the macho looks and the floor-shaking dancing had laughing.

Great snare sound @ the end there.

  3. Wow, that was totally hilarious. Even if no one else, he was certainly feeling it. I did sorta like that pattern though. Good stuff... I've gotta watch the rest of his videos.

  4. Whether it was intentional or not, it was pretty hilarious. ;-)

The MC09 is good for those "zzzizzy" acid kind of sounds, and it has a nice sequencer. A lot of people say "It sounds just like a 303!" It doesn't, at all. So don't buy one if you think you're going to get a 303 on the cheap. But, it's good for what it does, which is quite a bit. You can use it as a phrase sampler, a monosynth, a drum machine or an effects processor. Unfortunately, you can only use the phrase sampler plus one of the other features at the same time, so don't go thinking you're going to build up a full track using all of the features at once.

But, they're fun, and cheap to buy when you can find them for sale. It's one of those boxes that people seem to hang on to. I got mine for about $150. If it were broken or stolen, I probably wouldn't buy another one, but I don't regret buying it.

Even if you're looking for a cheap monophonic sequencer that'll let you do slides, ties, rests, accents and all that stuff like a 303, it's worth it.

  5. this is a good point to bring up something that drives me mad. i see people doing at least this on the sales floor of music shops.

i'm fine with the fact that he's dancing, his chops are just a little ill. but the people going overboard at the shop i want to throw head first to the parking lot.

how am i supposed to shop when someone is one notch away from jumping on the counter?
