Quasimidi was a german manufacturer located in Kirchhain, Germany. Since 1988 the company´s new location was Rauschenberg, Germany. At first the company worked on the MIDI-market. Later it is well known as a producer of Synthezisers. Quasimidi was founded by Freidhelm Haar and Jörg Reichstein in 1987. Nowadays Quasimidi is out of business...

LIST PRICE: $1295 STREET PRICE: $899

THIS IS A VERY RARE LIMITED PRODUCTION MODEL DUE TO LEGAL ISSUES FROM OTHER COMPANIES THEY 'BORROWED TECHNOLOGY FROM'."

Anyone know what this is in reference to? It seems vaguely familiar, but I forget.

  1. I can't remember such claims against Quasimidi. This and the "STREET PRICE: $899" (it really isn't) line make me think that seller's just trying to get an exorbitant price.

    here in france the street price of the rave-O-Lution is between 375 and 500 euros ...( about 500 to 750$)

  4. Only thing I can think of that's even vaguely related is Roland suing DREAM SA (makers of the SAM9407 synth-on-a-chip, which powered the Polymorph, and possibly other Quasimidi synths too) for ripping and redistributing their GM sample collection.

  5. If that lawsuit by Roland v. Quasimidi over GM sounds is in fact true it's ironic because Roland had to discontinue their M-DC1 module and SR-JV80-06 DANCE cardbecause of a copyright lawsuit against them over the sounds.
