I read somewhere that the metal rod version of the switch is from the early runs of the 106.
ReplyDeleteThat's the switch mine has. I bought it new in 1984; I'm not sure how long the 106 had been out at that point, but possibly I did get an early version. Makes me wonder what other changes were made during the production run (Sonic State claims that about 40,000 were built). I'll go hunt up the serial # this evening.
