Novation Supernova saves a prayer

"Hear the Supernova attempt to make sounds like Duran Duran on their Rio album. The Supernova needs to be twiddled, it has 3 oscillators not all are needed ro recreate early synth sounds. Here is an attempt at sounding like Save A Prayer which has those two memorable synth lines both recreated here."

  1. Fantastic demonstration! I have just a regular Nova, but I think it's kind of super anyways. There is a lot of fun twiddling the knobs and pressing the buttons (although I hate that little "beep" every time you press a button). The problem is dividing my time between the Novation Nova and my Korg Z1...and using the two together???? Forget about getting anything useful done at home.

  3. The Human League one pissed me off a bit for some reason, but this clip was informative and well done overall.

He does need to be careful waving his arms around like that with those rings and that blouse on, he might accidentally cast a spell on something.

    That seriously cracked me up.

Decent demo, but I gotta say... anyone who spends their time dressing up like Duran Duran and painstakingly recreating their songs part-by-part may not be fully right in the head. ;)
