Rougemusic please help with my sp 1200

I wonder if the guy who used to hack off the keys on Juno-106's and such still works at Rogue.

This guy really seems green about this. So maybe this is either a troll or a spoof. If he really needs to resolve the problem then simply working the switches could help greatly. The unit probably has sat for years without being touched as layer upon layers of dust built up on it. While the dust protected its mintyness, it also probably caused the buttons to top working. If manual toggling does not work, then getting into the unit to clean the contacts may be required.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe i wasted my time watching a man press buttons and frustrate himself. It's obvious he has absolutely no patience. My SP12 does almost exactly those same things, in fact, it's a common problem on the SPs. Either they need cleaning, or you just have to press them right, i mean, he was hitting one of the pads in the corner, and going 'look, it doesn't work!' Well, of course it doesn't work right if you push the wrong part. And, really, how much access to sync modes is he going to need? It could be a whole lot worse frankly. I thought it was a video of a freaking SP1200, that would be interesting, but instead it's a video of an impatient button pusher. WASTE OF TIME. I even wasted more time to write this response. GRAASSGSSGGS!!!!!!

How do I clean my White & Red SP Buttons?
1.
Take a super small and thin flathead screwdriver (or knife) and gently pry off the button (don't worry they snap out pretty easily)
2.
Underneath the button is a little springy metal piece. Lift out the metal piece and clean the under-side of it with a pencil eraser. (there will most likely be a dot of dirt where it makes contact - clean it off)
3. Inderneath the removable metal piece is a little non-removable metal contact. Clean this with the pencil eraser also.
4.
Then lay the removable metal piece back where it was and snap the button back in place.
