JoMoX 888 wireless network Logic 8 / midi bug

"Ok, so it's really a MBP/L8/CoreMidi bug, but I'll be damned if my 888 doesn't have a .11x card in it!"

Yeah, these Jomox products are infested with bugs...
ReplyDeleteHe's just not an OS guy unfortunately...
He really should polish up his programming chops.
It's the only thing he lacks and was the demise of the Sunsyn...
I got one of the original XBASE 999's and had to return it cause it just wasn't functional enough to be taken seriously.
Apparently, I hope, most of those issues have been resolved at this point but I can't ever fully consider a Jomox product with absolute confidence.
It's a bummer because the 888 and 999 would be phenominal creations if it weren't for the feable OS.
He needs a partner to assist with the digital aspects to realize his full potential.
Or perhaps to observe the model of other small analogue/digital manufactuers such as DSI.
Once Jomox is able to create a stable, solid and reliable OS is the moment I become a loyal customer...
I have a black 999. In spite of the bugs I'm able to do everything I need it to and I figure after a year or so I'll get a 888...
ReplyDeleteAlso, fwiw, this bug is an Apple bug... it affects anything that is being clocked off of Logic if/when you enable your wireless adapter. It's well documented. The 888 has very very few bugs, and those are minor annoyances. It is the ONLY drum machine in my entire studio now..and the only one I fancy needing to own...the most rock solid timing and best song loop and knob twiddle recording capability on earth. Totally, sick.
