Been doing this for years, but for all my cables...At least with modular patching, you can almost always physically touch both points at once. But I use this scheme to i.d. cables that are, let's say, behind one rack that is 20 feet away from a mixer that the other end is connected to. (Wow that was terrible grammar, sorry!)You can use multiples when you run out of colors.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes used colored electrical tape. But another trick I've done is print up Pancode-like labels, both color and number coded, on my inkjet printer.
