E-70 b) the ALASKA test
YouTube via FlametopFred
"One of the standard tests to see how close a keyboard is to the CS-80. Eddie Jobson's "Alaska" from the first U.K. album set the bar which the E-70 meets and hurdles over. Same basic sonic engine."

i am ashamed that i know this , but the second chord is not correct... nice sound though..
ReplyDeleteTRY this - play octaves, like C-to-C, but add the 4th and th 5th in there too (F and G). Right now you're not playing chords fully and Alaska has amazing fatness due to this.
ReplyDeleteIf I recall right, start with Eb-Ab-Bb-Eb (over the V Bass), slide that "shape" down to Db, then to C - there's your start...
