"Howdy Matrix!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Cynthia"
BTW, I am not planning on a specific Valentine's Day post this year (I don't think I had one last), so... Have a Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Imagine if your honey gave you one of these, a Steiner Parker Synthacon Filter. :)
i ordered mine!
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll never get it.
ReplyDeletei have several modules & other stuff from Cyndustries already- logic suggests since I received those, I'll receive more :-) handmade stuff takes more than mass produced stuff, but is so much better!
ReplyDeleteI've bought several modules from her before, and experienced several delays beyond what I judged reasonable.
ReplyDeleteOther modular makers I ordered from delivered on time as promised.
Last year (October) she promised me delivery of a module that was supposedly completed (i.e. all that was needed was put it in a box and ship), but it's been months, and apparently has to be built. In December, suggested delivery in the middle January.
October, November, December, January, February, and going...
The only reason I sent her the money was because she said it was complete and one of two left.
Fortunately (for me), unfortunately (for her future orders from me), I've decided for less aggravation and will now just give my money to Bruce Duncan and other modular builders in the future.
Perhaps, if she manages to make her delivery predictable, like a few exceptional modular builders have, I'll reconsider. But I'm going to give it a few more years to see how her business improves.
Good luck with other people's orders!
2008 is the year I've decided to raise the bar in what I expect from vendors (as we all should IMO). Why should we take it up the ___?
(Cynthia is not alone BTW. You should hear the other stories I'm getting these days! I should write a book.)
I really like her stuff, but the process is a big pain in the ass and it feels like she lies through her teeth.
We'll see by posting this if I ever get my module now :)
2008: The year where no quarter is given, none expected.
maybe you should buy Korg Electribes instead?
