What is the black module in the middle?
ReplyDelete"What is the black module in the middle?"
ReplyDeletepower
I'm confused...then why is the output of the oscillator on the panel to the right connected to the "power" module?
ReplyDeleteummmmmmmmm ....
ReplyDeleteto make it more powerful?
And with that we'll close this portion of the FAQ and turn things over to someone that knows Serge better than I.
;-)
Sure looks yummy, don't it.
strange they didnt go with a silver middle section??????????????

The black middle module is the power distribution with improved grounding. The LED with jack is a modulatable water-diffused blue LED. It can be used as an indicator of CV as well as power.
ReplyDeleteRex said it works well to illuminate the panels in low-lighting and also casts crazy shadows on the walls, too, which is entirely dependent on the voltage it's being fed. Apparently, it's not like the retina-searing blue LEDs we've seen on some other modules, thankfully. I guess that's thanks to the water-diffused part.
ReplyDelete"Retina-searing"...LOL That was a good one. These guys wouldn't be blinding people if they'd learn to select the correct current limiters. I made the same mistake the first time (Mr Duval...how are the sunglasses working out for you?).
ReplyDeleteThese panels are interesting but man, I gotta raise my prices!

The first two are (I believe) perfectly acceptable sexual positions. I dunno about that last one though. It'd require five thumbs and a drawstring rectum.
"It'd require five thumbs and a drawstring rectum."
ReplyDelete...which you already have.
Remember, I've watched all the episodes of RAB.
Everybody who watches RAB knows those characters don't have ANY thumbs.
ReplyDeleteOh, ME? Yeah, I've got a few thumbs.
