"The Acidcode Tweakbox is a new 2008 Synth DIY Project by the authors of the ML-303 BassLine: Please note: the picture shows the ML-303 V6, not the new Tweakbox. While the ML-303 has an analog audiopath the Tweakbox is now fully digital. That makes it very easy to solder and build. There are no SMD-Parts used. If you want to get informed as soon as the Tweakbox will be released just register with your eMail address in the Forum." Click here for more info. via sequencer.de.
Anyone know what pushbuttons (manufacturer or part number) were used on the ML303? They're pretty cool.
ReplyDeletethey're made by MEC.
ReplyDeleteI used them in this midibox I built a few years ago

if I remember it's a German company but I was able to buy small quantities from a distributor in the US.
They're actually not very durable. There's an integrated LED, the force of the switch is not that great so they don't feel very clicky or stable when you press them. Also not all of them maintain the same clickiness...some tend to feel more squishy than others after repeated use. Hard to explain but I think you get the idea
Thanks for the info b|c. Too bad they don't work as well as they look. I'm still on the lookout for a high qualtiy tactile switch with integrated LED's, but quality feel and reliability is a must.
ReplyDeleteBut that's a sweet looking Midibox you made. Damn!
