Thighpaulsandra's studio.
ReplyDeleteChrist man, totally amazing.
Looks lovely, but why is there absolutely zero acoustic treatment on the walls? Seems like mixing could get muddy rather quickly....
ReplyDeleteTis indeed lovely. Make sure you all check out the gear list !!
ReplyDeleteWe're going to film Thighpaulsandra and his studio in April; great goodies for everyone : )

cool. is that sonic boom interview coming up, as well?
ReplyDeletethey should get a mixer worthy of all those synths
ReplyDeleteThat... is a bad ass setup.
ReplyDeletecutter - maybe they use headphones a lot. I do, sometimes often bad tho, cause sometimes mud is what most systems and their acoustics sound like anyway.

ReplyDelete"There is acoustic treatment in the room. The pictures were taken before it was added. It isn't a conventional studio. It has lots of natural light and although there is some acoustic treatment, the room isn't dead. Mixes translate well to other locations and the stereo imaging is very good.
The Mackie desk is only used for monitoring. It is soon to be replaced by a Trident TSM but currently all inputs are via Neve or Focusrite mic/line amps."
