CR-78 triggering a synthesizer.com vs the pitch pirate
YouTube via RothHandle
"Yesterday two friends from Västerås came by the studio to try to explain what this whole modular synth business is about...And what better way than to bring a large beautiful synthesizer.com system to Roth HÄndle for a day of tweaking and noise making...and the odd musical sound here and there too..."

This seems like a complete waste of time with such a beautiful modular system.):
ReplyDeleteTo each their own I guess.
No Dotcom tag?
ReplyDeleteI can definitely understand if someone feels it is a waste of time...but the idea with the visit was to just to mess around with it and have some fun. Some people like Tangerine Dream. Other people like Motley Crue. Some people like their Modular to sound like a Mini Moog on steroids other people like them to sound like a drum machine on helium with hiccups...but there you go. As you said. To each their own.
ReplyDeleteI apologize if my comment seemed rude.
ReplyDeleteNo no no it's fine. Complete waste of time sounds a bit on the negative side though...
ReplyDeleteWithin the synth user community (or whatever it is) there seems to be a lot of unspoken rules about what you are supposed to do and do with synths, effects et.c... I am just a guy who records music in my studio and makes films of the stuff that I use as a sort of visual journal and as I use slightly unusual equipment in a lot of different combinations I thought it might be of interest to other people.
Therefor I am often surpised by the amount of nasty comments you can get by simply distorting a analog drummachine with a cheap stompbox.
Your comment was just fine.
