ReplyDeleteThe second one is NOT a Yamaha SHS-10. I am an owner of one. Despite the look alikes it appears to be something else like it. Yamaha that I know of didn't make that keytar in the picture. I was going to assume it was a Asian knock off toy but I noticed two wheels. Most toys don't even have a pitch bend. Well, just like the SHS-10 I am sure it still sounds like shit.

The synth in question is called the Castlebar Clavinet - as played buy George Duke and featured on the cover to his album 'Dream on'
ReplyDeleteIt's not a Castlebar Clavinet. George Duke's Castlebar Clavinet is a modified Hohner E7 Clavinet in a plexiglass cover. This keyboard is called "Davis Clavitar" and it was made by Wayne Yentis back in 1978. Herbie Hancock, Steve Porcaro and George Duke owned these. It's a controller for the MiniMoog, the ARP Odyssey and the Sequential Circuits Prophet-5.

ReplyDeleteThe Red is not a yamaha shs10, it's a "MEGA SOUND", it's a keytar-toy. Same design with the french modele RJP " Orgue - guitare programmable". But this one is modified/customized.
