BTW, if anyone knows how to embed Quicktime videos without autoloading, let me know. I took a look at Apple's QuickTime Embed Tag Attributes and only found the tag to prevent auto playing, not auto loading.
via wire to the ear. You can find more video on the Omnisphere site.

ReplyDeleteWhat about the PPG waves from first version on?
I think you'll need a placeholder MOV of 1 frame to load, with a HREF url to point to the real movie. That way when your page loads, it'll load a quicktime of about 2KB and then only launch the real movie when clicked on. Something like:
ReplyDeleteembed src="poster.mov" width="200" height="240" href="sample.mov" target="myself"
where the fake movie is poster.mov and the real movie is sample.mov. The target myself code is so that the movie opens within the same window, I believe. I am not too savvy with this stuff so I could be pointing in the wrong direction...
Thanks. I'll have to try it sometime. I think the problem with that might be creating the poster.mov as I'm embedding external videos, but I guess I could make a generic one. I think I'll stick to the image for now. It's not as bad as I thought after posting it.
ReplyDeleteIf you use quicktime pro, you can load the original video, then using the export to web menu option it'll create a little folder with all the stuff you need. Then you can use mok's web code with the stuff in the folder.
ReplyDeleteWow. It's amazing how much better Jupiters and Junos sound than the Virus. We only heard one patch each, but still...
