Recording Murfed Glockenspiels for the Opium Cartel

YouTube via RothHandle. Yeah, I need a Murf. Anyone have any thoughts on the standard vs. Bass?
"Today I worked on a new song for the norwegian band The Opium Cartel. It is a really interesting project with sound files being sent all over the globe to try to create something wonderful.

Today I worked on a track called Picker girl and this short film shows me just starting up doing some small overdubs in the verses using a Hohner Glockenspiel, a moogefooger bass murf, a moogerfooger analog delay and a roland re-501.

This film was shot at Roth Händle studios, stockholm. For more info...please visit www.roth-handle.nu"

  1. Is that a real mustache, or the kind you stick on?

  2. Of all the things to make fun, the mustache is the LEAST thing - seriously, EXCELLENT example of sound design! You still can hear the "clinky" sound of the glockenspiel, but after the initial attack, it morphs into a perfect fairy sound. It sounds even better within the context of the track. Bravo!!!!!!!!

  3. Ricky...It´s all real. Moustaches, moogerfoogers and glockenspiels... And mostly in Mono.

Thanks, Brian...Glad to hear that you liked it...I had never done it before so I was kind of curious to see how the Moogerfooger would treat the glockenspiel.

  4. Yes, you're right - my joke was uncalled for. I apologize. I honestly did like the sound, though....
