Be sure to click the image for the full size shot and zoom in a bit. The scan actually isn't too bad in that you can read the text and you can clearly see the label CSDX. Nice little bit of history. I'd love to see more scans from the book - reading about a hobby is a great way to practise your "foreign" languages.
ReplyDeleteThe text on the page here doesn't say anything about the CSDX. It's just captions for the graphs - stuff about the carrier and modulation frequencies and levels and the dominant frequencies in the resulting waveforms.

it's a book that explains different kind of synthesis, and sometimes shows pictures of different synths that use it (for exemple, matrix 12 for analog synth, fairlight about sampling, and others .....)
i really doubt it would be useful to make scans of the book, but please, if anyone has some more informations about CSDX ...
The CSDX was the prototype for what became the DX1.
ReplyDeleteLike the CS80, it also had a bank of sliders for realtime control - these were removed the DX1.
There were only a few CSDX's made, and they weren't sold.
