Yamaha MM6 Cubase Demo
YouTube via boysynth
"The Yamaha MM6 is a budget synth, but it sounds great. This video shows the MM6 on auto-pilot being sequenced by Cubase. The song playing is Pet Shop Boys - I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing. This MIDI file was downloaded from www.psb-atdeadofnight.net where you can find high quality PSB MIDI files."
I think voodoo dog is actually controlling it.

I would call this a workstation more then a synth. The sound editing is nothing more then a few effects like echo, reverb and such along with an envelope filter. Didn't care for it.
ReplyDeleteSold mine and bought a Roland SP-404. I was at a loss of $200 bucks after my resale but the sampler felt like it was of higher value anyways. These $600 keyboards are hard to resale for anything above $400.
I also had a Yamaha PSR-403e. This costs $200 so its a third of the price. Exact same sounds, sound quality, and basicly the same features. Your only real extras were MIDI, stereo outs, perfomance settings, and a little easier feature navigation.
Avoid the MM-6. I fell for the whole "budget Motif" scam and learned a hard lesson.
