This is not my demo, although I do like it. It's from someone named Nick on Analog Heaven.

Well the procedure of getting a 200e to track proper pitch with a MIDI keyboard is remarkably simple. Nowhere near the complications of say an unmodified EMS or EML.
I think what's going on is one sees an incredible amount of interesting processing that's not focusing on tweaking the filter and adsr, so one has to make a conscious effort to do a monosynth type sound with so many options.
I was fooling around the first day I tried a Buchla 200e and was thinking - what can I do that's not noodling?

Had I to do this again I'd evolve the sound more over the length of the piece and get something interesting going with dynamics
I don't own the synth but a setup would be very high on the list if I had money.

Cool Demo,

Thanks wavedeform. The email I caught this on made it look like it was yours. I updated the title.
ReplyDeleteIt's Vivaldi's Four Seasons again. I think it's the same track as last time.
