  1. Let's face it, the hardware sampler got largely left behind years ago, but there are some keyboards that just look gorgeous and define the exclusive keyboard rigs of the pros at the time.

    The E11 is undoubtedly one of them - I just think they look fantastic. Reminds of keyboard rigs which would be a Fairlight, E11, PPG Wave 2.3, Oberheim Matrix-12, Jupiter-8 and maybe the ubiquitous DX7 or Prophet-5, with a Minimoog for the widdly bits.

    Made me drool then, still does now...

  2. it's so archaic, it's good fun. you can see one of 3 giant 5.25" floppy disk binders in the corner, my favorite part of the picture. works perfectly although the backlight is so dim it looks like the EII is off... that will be replaced soon enough.
