the performers are super-cute, I must say... and the visuals are nice... in fact, I have to say I like this performance overall. Despite some misgivings about the level of knob-twiddling prowess on display. As a veteran knob-twiddler, I guess I feel like the sonic territory explored here has already been pretty well-mapped, and doesn't take a lot of focused intent to achieve. This as opposed to the visual language of Krankenkabinet, which is fairly advanced (lots of focused intent there).
ReplyDeleteCheers, all! Keep it up.
That is actually pretty typical of the SF noise scene. Lot's of visual candy and the sound is usually secondary. Very cliquey group also. I found that the "punk" scene was generally way more open minded and down to earth.
ReplyDeleteHaving said that, there are some amazing bands and performers there as well.
