Mini Studio Tour

"Well I just spent about 2 days re-arranging my studio for better ergonomics. Still tough to cram what I want to do into the furnace rooom in my basement, but whatever.

This is my first video! Taken on a crappy digital still camera at 3am, I could probably do a better job but hey, you gotta start somewhere"

  1. Hahaha! I love it. $15k+ in modular gear. $100 converter.

  2. heh you're damn right!

given that i'm not doing any recording beyond total hobbiest/for fun stuff, a converter is REALLY low on my list of items to get. It makes no sense whatsoever for me to spend $2000 on a converter, vs. the number of modules I could get for the same price, that I would enjoy every day. The $100 converter works fine for my needs.

Maybe if, like modules, I can work my way into a nice converter in $200 chunks, i would aspire to it. Right now it seems a waste of money.

Note the crap pre's as well ;)

  3. I totally understand. I was in hobby mode for a few years slowly acquiring a bunch of gear, then one day I realized I was making my living with it and I should have better converters, pre amps, and speakers. Somehow that stuff is not as exciting to buy and I keep getting the things I want verse the things I need. Whatever
