Virus TI SNOW

full review and samples on VAC

I think this is the first polar bear on MATRIXSYNTH. That is a polar bear, right?

  1. What a load of inarticulate, plagiarized, horseshit. This is exactly how those "Synth Revision B sounds better than Synth Revision A" rumors get started.

  2. And his demo sounds like a plugin...

  3. I can't read any synth review that contain the words "I have kick ass converters"

  4. Funny stuff that.
    A very pseudo-intellectual piece.
    Made very obvious by the
    abundance of buzzwords.
Its all perception based on his
limited understanding of the technology and technique.

  5. absolute garbage. i am never surprised by how useless and juvenile this guy's "reviews" are. i am surprised that he is still grasping for attention and credibility despite the amount of flak he recieves for his misinformed and tiresome rants. clearly his overly inflated and dellusional ego is impenetrable. i am ashamed that i even bothered going to that retarded website of his (his own personal little xanadu) to read it. although i admit i could not get past the first "kick ass" paragraph.

  6. Yes, that's a polar bear. In fact, I think that's Knut.

  7. I like the virus b, and c, I liked the a more because it had this grit to the sound that made it cut in the mix better. Personal preference is all.

The regular TI has bug issues, and sounds faint compared to all the other virus models. But the snow finally surpasses them all. I don't know how or why. Maybe I will review the guys over at Access and ask them.

  8. hex has a habit of writing reviews when he's in the first-days-infatuation-phase of the relationship. It is the best thing ever, blah blah blah...

Give it a month and he'll start complaining bitterly about it.

  9. I agree it's a crappy review, but am I the only one here who has noticed that the soud of the TI actually ISN'T as good as the Virus A?......I've thought this for some time.

  10. This review is yet another reason for the industrial/ebm and synth communities to hate bryan.

As if they need any more reasons.

Give it a little while, and the TI Snow will become his reason "why no one likes my music anymore".

  11. I'm honestly happy. I love all the negative attention. I mean i thrive on being a very hated internet figure in the scene.

Trust me, not a thing most of you say can stop me, i've been hated since the days of rec.music.industrial in the 90s.

I'm a very well hated public figure. :)

But it's ok, because It's still better than what most of you do. NOTHING.

  12. Haha, oh really? Looks like the negative attention, at least in this post, has finally gotten to you. At least enough to get you to lash out like that.

But anyhow, basing your entire existence on trolling mailing lists and synth blogs is, in your eyes, better than what we choose to do with our lives? Seriously?

I wouldn't at all be surprised if you delete your above post though, much like you've made a habit of doing on AnalogueHaven.com's forums after treating Peter Grenader in such an uncouth and ungrateful manner.

  14. It's funny how all these negative comments are coming from names unknown, who have achieved nothing in comparison, all levelling criticism at a controversial figure that is well established. Hex might not win any literary awards, but his reviews are raw and compelling, otherwise they wouldn't generate this amount of comments. Initial infatuation periods are as important as the long term relationships with hardware, and I'm interested in reading up on both. Sounds to me like some important issues have been addressed. I certainly wouldn't want to pay 50% more for the TI when the Snow seems a more affordable and better sounding synth.

  15. matrixsynth, seriously, posting this guys stuff is deteriorating the quality of your otherwise great site.

is there a way we can take a poll or something? hexfix is a very obvious attention troll who was not loved by his parents.

    loyal reader,
    ta

    I SECOND THIS

  17. magenticka.......

You sound like one of the last few of his fans, defending his opinions that do nothing for the synth community.

    AND...

You have no idea who any of these people are. Hexfix93 is just the the only one who likes to "promote" himself through sites like matrixsynth, the gas station, and gearslutz, while many actually famous musicians choose to remain anonymous.

We are just sick of his trolling, spamming, crap that he has inflicted upon the synth community for years.

  18. I am a fan, but I think everyone's being a bit harsh and over reacting...I mean come on...it's one guys opinions...you can't deny he has a ton of experience...and people respect that...AND Matrixsynth should be free for everyone.

  19. I'll prove it.

I'm not going to ask for any of my reviews to be posted here again, I only put that stuff out for my fans. Not for normal fucks who don't understand me, or my music. I really don't care about new people. I know you guys don't listen to my music at all. more than anything, i worked with matrixsynth only to promote his site, not mine. I don't care if i get average synth users on my site who wouldn't like my music any way.

I am not for the mainstream.

But since all i get is trolls bashing me on here. hey, i know i'm not wanted here. so i'm out.

    bye.

  20. @teenageaudio

Yeah, like a review you don't agree with is worst than having matrix posting 1000 youtube videos per day.

you people obviously must be jealous. Lets hear your musical endevars. Post them up. Otherwise shut the fuck up you children.

I actually found Bryans positive words towards the snow great, and I went out and bought one based off how he feels with his. And I love the synth.

So I will be waiting for the links to your music. I would love to hear your own work.

    Thanks

i like the entire virus series actually. i used to hang out at the access booth all the time at namm. also, nobody has to 'validate' themselves to you.

i don't like the reviewer, and i simply made my case for a poll!

access has worked very hard on the TI, and look how easy he discredits their efforts, despite that the TI forms the foundation of the Snow.

  22. i can't tell if your head is farther up his ass or your own.
nor do i hear anyone knocking his music or making this in anyway about his music.
retard, its about his internet rants.
i don't think he needs you to remove your lips from his ass to speak out in his defense either. clearly he enjoys feeling like a hated pariah and his rants and the ensuing critisism is obviously serving to fullfill some need on his part.
    relax.

    ReplyDelete
  23. "retard, its about his internet rants." Sounds like it's you that's ranting, not Hex! It's all about you, and your igniting of flame wars, probably because you feel so pathetic having no recognisable identity of your own. If I'm going to buy an a new synth, i listen to the words of those with mature ears that have experienced a wealth of hardware, and actually have a real talent. Hex wrote a positive review, and you (whoever you are) flamed it - it's your shit that I don't want to read on Matrixsynth!
