CASIO HT6000 Synthesizer

Anyone know how editable these are if at all? Preset only or more?

  1. I have a ht-3000 and its pretty programmable. You can tweak sounds, and make your own casio preset beats. This beast sounds way deeper on the sound editing though.

  2. i have the baby of the series, the HT700, and even that offers basic controls - cutoff, resonance, an envelope, an LFO wired to pitch if i recall correctly. the filter acts paraphonically btw. don't think you can save your patches though, you need to note the settings on paper.

  3. Remember the usual reference sites! Sealed's Deep Synthesis page for the HT6000 are, as usual, a mine of fascinating information.

  4. I had one--it's fully editable, but a bit of a PITA. It really is an interesting machine.

  5. I'm a bit of an HT junkie: I've had an MT600, still have 4 HT700's, an HT3000, and recently got an HT6000.

I agree that all HT's are a bit of a pain to edit, and truly the best thing about them is the analog filter chip. Since there's only a single filter per sound source in all but the 6000, it's definitely worth modding them bring out cutoff and res controls to the panel at least. At the risk of YouTube whoring, here's some things that can be done.

I haven't played too much with the 6000 yet, but the touch sensitivity on the keyboard is really an improvement.

  6. whoring synth content is always welcome on this site. I actually saw your video when it went up and I put it up here back on June 17 of 2006. :)

  7. @filter,
Within certain limitations, it is possible to save patches. There are 20 internal memory positions that will hold their contents if the unit has good batteries.
