Mike later went on to start Mutron and incorporated some of the circuitry in this unit into the Mutron III. This is #5 of 6 protypes made for Guild back in 1972. After Guild president Al Dronge was killed in a plane crash the company decided to drop the project. Mike still owns the other 5 units so this is the only one in the wild. This unit was actually thrown out at Guild a few years back after they were purchased by Fender." via Russ
