Vote No On Proposition 8

Vote No On Proposition 8.

Just thought I'd balance out that ad people in CA might have been seeing on the top right of the site. Apologies to those in CA for the ad. Totally inappropriate on this site. Not sure how traditional marriage is at risk... The reason this world is so messed up is lack of tolerance and people trying to force their views on others. Period. Fight for your rights and fight against the "right" to take it away from others less fortunate than you. Google Ads are off until after the election. Thanks goes to Josh for sending this one in.

  1. Thanks Matrix! Good man! People should be able to marry whomever they want, even synthesizers, which I'm sure many have. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

  3. I just thought it was a typo and they meant to say 'Prophet 08'

  4. Ha ha, that's funny. I was wondering about that.

  5. Good work. Rewire's right, let people marry who they want to (not that we do in Australia but that doesn't mean California needs to go all victorian on us).

  6. This is the second site today I've seen saying something along this lines... seems to me that the advert has seriously backfired.

Vote NO on Prophet 08! Hybrid signal paths FTW!

  7. Very commendable, Matrix - thank you for taking a stand, particularly at your own expense.

  8. 1- I live in Utah and most of the money trying to "save marriage" is coming from the Mormons. The thing that makes me angry is that if you take the word Gay out of their arguments and replace it with Negro is all sounds so tired and sadly familiar.

2- It is so nice to see Gwenhwyfaer somewhere again. 'Lo Gwen, I will write you soon.

3- Today is election day (finally0 and the Reign of Error is almost over!

  9. Thanks for that. I'm gay, so I appreciate it. The rights of a minority should NEVER be decided by popular vote. Desegregation of schools and interracial marriage were both less popular when they were struck down than gay marriage is today.

Anyway, I'd vote for my Prophet 08 in a heartbeat!

  10. See, I KNEW that this was a friendly, nice place to hang out.

It's great to see your post, and it's WONDERFUL to see so many (all, even?) of the comments of others being so supportive and well, just plain FAIR!

I'm gay, and it's amazing to see such positivity and kindness here.

    Thanks, everyone!

  11. Mike and Robbie,
I am as straight as an arrow and my wife is Mormon. We both believe that if you two want to get married it will not harm our marriage in any way.
Besides, what can gay marriage do to destroy the American family that the high, hetero divorce rate isn't doing already?
I mean unless Lewis Black's explanation is correct? :)

  13. maybe people can marry anyone they want, but really now, banana plugs are the best patching solution for modulars...

    proposition banana?

  14. I don't think I want to marry Mike, but thanks for the offer. (Don't take that personally, Mike--I'm sure you're a very nice guy.) I'm glad there are some hetero people who recognize that their gay neighbors being married doesn't harm them.

Anyway, McCain just conceded. Society can now move forward out of the last, dark, eight years! Everyone benefits.
