The Simonsound Transmission

"The Simonsound Transmission is a 60 minute mix featuring music from pioneering electronic composer Fred Judd, Canadian pop-psych group The Sugar Shoppe and British jazz artist Bob Downes amongst further library mood music, spaced out rock and electronics. You can intercept the transmission at www.thesimonsound.com

The first Simonsound single is released on the 2nd of March on 7" vinyl and as a digital download available from iTunes, Amazon, Napster and emusic.

The A side shoots The Jimmy Castor Bunch into outer space aboard a rocket ship full of synthesizers. The result; a switched on Moog version of the classic B-Boy funk track 'It's Just Begun'.

The B side features an equally spaced out journey but this time the destination is inner space. 'Bad Love' features the achingly beautiful vocal talent of Debbie Clare set against a wash of strings, horns, drums and electronics.

To celebrate the release of our single we will be playing records of a psychedelic nature with an accompaniment of live electronics & spaced out sounds at selected venues in the UK from the 26th of February.

You can expect to hear exclusive tracks from our forthcoming album "Reverse Engineering", alongside 60's Rock, Psych, Library recordings and music for TV & Film.

We'll be visiting Newcastle, Leeds, London and Bristol.
