Badalamenti Twin Peaks Love Theme
YouTube via Popcasting. sent my way via fischek.
Not a synth, but this one goes up.
"Badalamenti explains how he wrote the Twin Peaks Love Theme on an old Fender Rhodes sitting alongside David Lynch"
Update: a little trivia via bunnyman in the comments: "What's also cool about Angelo is that in the Sixties, he went by the name of Andy Badale - and worked with Jean-Jacques Perrey!"

Genius.
ReplyDeleteWhen the Twin Peaks theme comes on shuffle - I always stop and have an intense moment. I've been walked-in on before.
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces ever written.
My college buddies and I used to come home from class and put the soundtrack on repeat and just veg out to it all afternoon.
He's an underrated composer for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually surprised that he's American. I always imagined that he was European for some reason.
What's also cool about Angelo is that in the Sixties, he went by the name of Andy Badale - and worked with Jean-Jacques Perrey!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'm not the only one thinking:
ReplyDelete"GO!"
This is one of the best things I've seen.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. He's always been one of my favorite composers. (I just tried 'tweeting' you, but those 140 characters thing is hard, dude!)
ReplyDeleteStill mad for all the times his and Julie Cruise's tapes were stolen from me back in college. Yes, I said tapes. ;)
