  1. Does the Miami have a random seq feature like the D16 stuff and the MB-808? There's no excuse why they couldn't of built an 808 with MODERN technology..props on the clone though. I feel the same way about the DRM mk-III. Should be no reason why those knobs aren't controllable via CC and have patch memory...maybe even a USB out...2009 ppl! And dont give me that shit about staying true to analog or a lower price...it wouldnt have been any less analog sounding..nobodys giving Dave Smith shit about the Prophet 08 having patch memory and MIDI control.

  2. The prophet 08 and all jomox pots/ encoders have serious issues. This is just a very good 808 clone, deal with it. MB 808 is a DIY kit and very difficult to assemble. The d16 may be a good choice (I use it too) if you need full MIDI control and total recall, but it falls behind in sound compared to the miami.

  3. Iphones:

    ...Can wireless control Ableton Live.

    ...Now have 808/909/303 emulation.

I even mentioned in my lil rant above props(kudos...good work) on the clone but seriously in 2009 an 808 should sound like it did 25 years ago with TODAYS features. Another reason why I'd choose a Revo over an Acidlab Bassline...modern features. The Acidlab Bassline though I will give credit too in looks...more stage presence to impress the gearspotters.

I'm sure they will sell like cocaine though...specially to the Analog Taliban.
