A/DA ADA Harmony Synthesizer

via this auction
"It is essentially a lo-fi polyphonic harmony device with Memory Man type echo w/crazy regeneration that takes your signal and can split it to any interval from 2 octaves down to one octave up. Two harmony intervals can be set up. Where things get interesting is how you set everything in relation to 2 separate delay/echo times that work in conjunction and out of conjunction with each other. Echo/Delay from 12ms to 250ms. Come of the effects include sequencer like arpeggios that trail up and down, wobbly textures, keyboard type pad drones, echo that will shift and blow your head off. Different harmonies can be punched in with the 2nd harmony ft. switch.

The amount of chips and processing that created this in 1978 is mind boggling. Only 800 of these were released for $500 in 1978. Robert Fripp of King Crimson owns 3 of them for his rig."

  1. I wonder how much it is actually worth. A "buy it now" of $4k and blind offers doesn't tell me anything. Also, for that money, there should be a better technical description, or at least pictures showing all the knobs, jacks, etc.

  2. I would pay about $1k for ti if it was mint with original box and manual. It looks more like it's in the $300 to $400 range from the looks. Also You can do all those effects on a Moogerfooger delay or any analog delay with the right modulation inputs by patching the right control signals. .
