This is a great video of Klaus in the good old days!

ReplyDeleteAwesome digital watch.
ReplyDeleteI love how easy going he is about using 20 different things at once. He has the longest damn arms!
ReplyDeleteWOW, thats some assortment of gear to travel from gig to gig with. I wonder how nasty that bear rug got? Is he sitting on a matress? What a stage show, could you imagine a modern artist going with that set-up?
ReplyDeleteI think most electronic music musicians do not dare to go on stage with so many non programmable synths. He really mastered this.
ReplyDeleteAnd btw.: most so called "live concerts" of electronic music are nowadays in fact "playback performances".
Even TD did many play back things in the last three years.
Klaus was never a real talented play if judged by his playing techniques and his compositions. But he could play live (but he also used a tape sometimes) and was able to catch some emotional things in his music (but only a few people recognise this).
That's a great clip. How does he sit like that for so long.......must have done plenty of yoga back then.
ReplyDeleteKlaus Schulze has no less talent than Robert Fripp.
ReplyDeleteand yes i love the emotion carried forth from his compositions.
aaaaahhhhh.... feels like coming home.
ReplyDelete32 years old and this is still what SYNTH means !
ReplyDeleteCheers.
