Mother Global Settings Editor for the Moog Grandmother and Matriarch by DIRE Studio

via DIRE Studio

"The proper Grandmother and Matriarch editor has landed.

Mother Global Settings is an intuitive editor for Moog's Grandmother and Matriarch synthesizers. Sporting a 500-series rack inspired control-per-function interface, it's a huge improvement over the quirky global settings editing method of these instruments.
For Mac and iPad.

Supports the creative flow.

Each setting is accessible with two clicks/taps at maximum, allowing you to concentrate on creating your music. Actual values are instantly visible on the screen, which may also prevent a disaster by letting you see output voltage levels. And we have added octave buttons to easily set and check keyboard transposition, as well as a sequence selector override for the Matriarch, letting you quickly switch to any sequence — not just adjacent ones.

Expanded control panel.

Separate items for oscillator frequency ranges on the Matriarch. Fine grained control over MIDI output and local control. Extra glide toggle and arp/seq gate length settings managed by the app. And a panic button in case the synth goes rebel.

Presets.

Save all global settings, as well as our extra settings, into files that you can archive with other project material or share with others. Quickly recall them when needed. And of course you can reset all settings to factory defaults.

Keyboard control.

Keyboard shortcuts for settings affecting synthesizer parameters that you may wish to change during live performance or recording: Gate Length, Swing, FW/BW End Note Repeat, Allow Seq Random Repeat, Delay Seq Change, Pitch Variance, Gated Glide, Legato Glide, Paraphonic Unison, Update Unison on Note-Off, Noise Filter Cutoff, Delay Filter Brightness and Multi Trig.

Equally at home on stage and in the studio.

Direct USB connection for the fastest operation and complete auto-detection — perfect for live performance. 5-pin MIDI support for connecting via MIDI interfaces — and even through MIDI routers — allows you to integrate the app into complex studio setups."

Erebus Grimm - DAWless Jam (TEO 5, Deluge, Taiga, DFAM, Mother 32, B Drum, Sub H, NYX)

video upload by Oakland Ghosts

"I wanted to create a dark sort of melancholy. A fall season sound.

This one started with a patch I built on the TEO 5, and very strange patch on the Taiga. I stole one of the oscillators from the taiga to build a dual oscillator patch on the Mother 32 and then got weird with percussion on the DFAM and the Bastle Drum.

Jim came in and nailed some atmospheric guitars - no easy task for a song that was all vibe no chord progression- Ram Das samples to keep it moving forward, and a ‪@johnnybakecake‬ mix to lock in the melancholy vibe and bring it all together.

From the Deep // Moog Matriach - FM Synthesis | HWJ Challenge | #synthjam

video upload by SOUNDS OF SYNTH

"Hi

This upload is inspired by the HWJ Challenge which is to make a track using FM synthesis.

The patch in this track is created on the Moog Matriach and I'm routing OSC 2 to OSC 1 and OSC 4 to OSC 3. I've got some additional modulation happening on the mod-wheel which is subttly affecting OSC 4 and therefore the sound of OSC 3.

For the massive reverb/delay in the middle and the end I'm using a Soma Cosmos.

PEACE ALL

Subboom 💥 (Moog Subharmonicon + Microtubes X + Bigsky // Cre8audio Boom Chick + Lethargy + H90)

video upload by 2-Minute Warning

"This is my second jam featuring the Boom Chick 5-voice analog drum machine 🥁
Digging a little bit further this time by using 2 patterns (with chance/probability etc.) and its handy individual outputs going through some pedals (Dreadbox Lethargy Phaser + Eventide H90 Vintage Delay and Plate Reverb)!

So the Boom Chick is playing all the drum parts and the Subhamonicon the harmonic parts (BASS & ARP/LEAD). The Subharmonicon is synced to the Boom Chick with its analog clock.

The challenge here was mainly to try to get out of the 4-step sequences inherent to the Subharmonicon 😉
So I changed in real-time one of the knobs of the sequencer to play random melodies, and used another method by turning the FREQ knob of VCO 2.

Still haven't really read the Boom Chick's manual though (just had to dig into it to better understand how "chance" worked exactly)."

"My notes unedited:
----Probably cant change----
Lfo mode / pitch decouple on osc 2 would be goated
Mod wheel as a mod source(expression source with nothing in the jack?)
Pitch wheel as a mod source
Lfo 2 as an signable mod source
Gate prob should work on the arp page as well
Maybe note prob as well, but thats mostly covered by arp modes
Ratchets would've been a huge buff to the sequencer

----Probably could change----
F env mod to osc wave is almost a useless range
Velocity curves could use a tweak, maybe that's preference
Any modulation to pitch, (i feel) needs a more generous taper for low amounts
Noise can get way too loud.. Am I crazy?
Pressing 1-16 in note prob should do something clear that note? Deactivate it?"

MOON Part 2 - Ambient Modular #19 // Subharmonicon, Rings, Take 5, Juno, Analog Four

video upload by David Falcon

"Parte dos de dos de esta mini serie. Misma secuencia en el @MoogSynthesizers Subharmonicon pero con un arreglo completamente diferente.
En este he añadido un par de elementos en post, ya que en la segunda parte necesitaba un pequeño empujón el tema. Para ello he usado el @SequentialLLC Take 5 y la emulación del Juno de @ArturiaOfficial .
Muy contento con el resultado.
Espero que esta comparativa os haya resultado interesante.

(eng)
Part two of two of this mini series. Same sequence in the Moog Subharmonicon but with a completely different arrangement.
In this I have added a couple of elements in the post, since in the second part the topic needed a little push. For this I have used Sequential Take 5 and Arturia's Juno emulation.
Very happy with the result.
I hope you found this comparison interesting."

Minimoog Prototype Exhibit Coming to the Moogseum For One Weekend Only!

via The Bob Moog Foundation

"We are excited to announce the Minimoog Prototype Exhibit at the Moogseum for one weekend only. The exhibit is offered in partnership with the Museum of Music Technology (MMT), which proudly stewards the four prototypes as part of its vast collection of synthesizers and other music technology in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. The temporary exhibit will take place November 14th - November 16th, 2025, marking the 55th anniversary of the first Minimoog being shipped on November 19, 1970.

Members of the MMT staff will be on hand to answer questions about the prototypes. Tickets are $16 per person. The Moogseum is extending its hours to accommodate the interest in the exhibit, and will be open from 10-6 all three days. Advance ticket reservations are strongly encouraged.

The Minimoog began in 1969 as the “Min A”, a five-module unit created by R.A. Moog Co. engineer, Bill Hemsath, to provide easy demonstrations for the larger famed Moog modular systems. Just over a year later, and after three subsequent iterations and the involvement of several engineers, the Minimoog was in production.

Come learn about the fascinating progression of this iconic analog synth, talk to the people who understand the deep history, and see the four ultra-rare prototypes in person!

Reserve your tickets here."

Jazzy Electronica w/ Moog One, Nord Lead, NTS-3, Ominisphere2 : Relocation 2025-09-22 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"A piece created with ‪@MoogSynthesizers‬ Moog One, ‪@NordKeyboards‬ Nord Lead, and software synths. Beat electronica built from glitch-processed rhythms via the NTS-3 and layered synthesizers.

On the Moog One, harmonies are performed with synth pad sounds.

On the Nord Lead, phrases are played with delay added through Specular Tempus.

The beat is programmed in Ableton and processed through the ‪@KORG_INC‬ NTS-3 looper to create glitch effects.

Other parts are mainly constructed in Ableton using Omnisphere, Massive, and similar software synths."

muSonics Lyle vs Continuo - Too Short for Oktoberfest

video upload by suitandtieguy

"This is an eight stage sequence of dyads within a minor 7th chord from the Continuo. It's in E minor and gets modulated to the fourth a couple of times. It's not a composition, it's just a demo.

I really like demonstrating this instrument without any patch cables at all but decided to use each voice's sine LFO to slowly modulate their filters, attenuated by the Control Distributor and fed into the secondary control input of the Vanilla Filters so they're still getting pitch voltage from the sequencer and modulation from the Polyphonic Envelopes.

The curve ball I throw into this is taking the left pulse wave from voice one and sending it into the clock input of Transistor Logic's flip-flop. The data input is normaled to the negative output of the flip-flop so with this simple routing it becomes an octave divider, but since it's a logic module the output is 0-5V. This is fed into input two of the Vanilla Filter of voice one, and partway through I turn that knob up so you can hear it, bringing in a four note bass element."
