Maybe this is common knowledge, but the SH-1000 is a "divide-down" monophonic synth: all waveforms are derived from resistor-scaled and mixed sub-square harmonics from a single master divider chip, the LM3216. If you Google that chip, you find it was used in organs.
ReplyDeleteI have an old Roland EP-20 which also uses the chip. I'm keeping it just in case the LM3216 in my SH-1000 dies...
