Solar Powered "Cricket" Circuit - Phil Stearns (Pixel Form)

Prototype of a VERY SIMPLE - Solar powered "cricket" circuit -

Solar cells charge two wireless phone battery packs during the day, then when it's dark the circuit starts chirping away.

The cricket is made using a single 4093 quad NAND gate and a few resistors and capacitors. Amplification provided by a single transistor, LED used to debug (no pun intended)."
