"1x R.A. Moog 960 sequential controller
1x R.A. Moog 962 sequential switch

  1. How sad to see that the CEMS is being broken up.... It was a unique and historic system.

  2. Hi Richard, I'm the CEMS owner and ..yes, unique system but I don't have a Museum for take it unused. I have restored it (one year of work) so I want to use it at maximum: I mean that I don't need of 8x sequencers and I will upgrade the CEMS with original MOOG IIIC + 2P lot of early modules that I have to enhance the system ;-)
I will send a demo soon as soon as I'll finish this titanic work.
by the way Richard, congratulation for one of the first your work "White Night" composed with the Moog CEMS ....great as your new amazing performances _-_-_

  3. Thank you for your comment, and your kind words, Scienceblu (Daniele?). What I said wasn't meant as criticism, and I hope you didn't take it that way - I knew that when the CEMS was sold that it probably wouldn't stay together, and at least it's being put to use instead of rotting in a storeroom somewhere.

I spent thousands of hours on that system, so it's nostalgic for me....

  4. It is a shame that the new owner of the CEMS has no respect for such a historic instrument.
I guess the fame of being known as the dismantler of the CEMS system will follow. So happy to see a Moog IIIC and 2P will also be dismantled, to "Enhance" the system.

  5. Moog1P ...I know you and you know me very well ;-) and still I don't know why you are so jealous.. first with the Moog 55 and now with this one.
I have full respect of my exigency in my music compositions and my modular synthesizers collection.
So I have respect also of the CEMS that was expensive for me also for restoration AFTER many years of total abeyance.
I'll expand the system and I will use it for the joyousness of myself and Bob Moog.
In any case I can write that you don't have respect of synthesizers and also of your friends.
    Hey man... be happy!

  6. mix and match and build what you need to create what it is you want to create, that is what modular synths are for i thought? lovely system btw, wish i had the $$$ to play with it

  7. I love it very much.. I saved and restored it with a lot of passion. The CEMS is a monstrous modular with many interested modules and it's a system based on 8x sequencers. Today the most part of musicians need of more vco's, filterbank etc. and less sequencers due to software stuff... 4x are right for me. I will keep with me the CEMS as musician and not as museum.
So I have decided to expand with a big lot of spare Moog modules that I have (ex IIIc and 2P) that need to be placed into an historic cabinet to play with me and other musicians in my studio... and to sell the rest of sequencers in plus that another composer can use.
..I just remember the big Tonto modular..
    All the best, Daniele

  8. I don't sell the Moog CEMS sequencer anymore, sorry!
Why? I will make another fifth cabinet with other original early Moog modules... so I will preserve a FULLY working historic system without modifications plus another cabinet as plug ins ;-)
