The little snapshots in the image are the FM algorithms. The tiny boxes in each "graph" represents how each operator or oscillator modulates the other via the outlined signal path.

The first track done mostly on FS1R (lead - DSI MEK, drums - Alesis QSR)
well, i still think it's FAT. i have a 4op tx81z, and a 6op dx7IIFD and the FS1R blows them out of the water in terms of the signal it delivers when recording. again, the FS1R in my opinion delivers a huge signal, that is super robust. When laying tracks down, my signal from the FS1R is always just under peak with no effort at all, and crystal clear. it would be very easy to push the signal through the roof, unlike the TX or DX7, they fall VERY short, like -12db :( When using the TX or DX i end up pushing the signal through comp, or gain and it ends up sounding sh*tty with noise. never have this problem with the FS1r. so, i stand firm with my opinion of the FS1R's super fat and crystal clear signal.
